Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Clark Developments, trading as Everwoven ("we", "us"), Pretoria, South Africa. By creating an account or buying a package you agree to them. Please read them carefully, especially the sections in bold, which limit our liability or place responsibilities on you, as the Consumer Protection Act requires us to draw your attention to them.
1. The service
Everwoven lets you design animated digital wedding save the dates and invitations from our templates, publish them at a link on our domain, share them by link, QR code and email, and collect RSVPs. Designing is free. Publishing and sharing require a paid package or an access code we issue.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older and give accurate details. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect someone else has used it.
3. Packages, prices and payment
- Prices are shown in South African rand on our website and are payable once-off by EFT against the invoice we email you, before publishing. We will tell you if VAT applies.
- A package entitles you to publish the number and type of designs it describes, with the features and email allowances listed at the time of purchase.
- Access codes are personal, single-use and have no cash value. We may revoke codes that were obtained improperly.
- You may edit a published design as often as you like while it is active, at no extra cost.
4. Cancellation and refunds
- If you bought online and have not published a design with your package, you may cancel within 7 days of payment for a full refund, as section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act allows.
- Once a design is published, the digital service has been supplied at your request and the package is not refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund (for example, if the service is defective and we cannot fix it).
- Bespoke work (such as a custom monogram) begins only with your approval and is not refundable once work has started.
5. How long your invite stays online
Your published invite stays online until the day after your wedding date, or for the period stated in your package. After that it is switched off, and its photos, guest list and replies are permanently deleted 30 days later. You can buy the "keep online" add-on to keep it longer. Please download anything you want to keep (for example your RSVP spreadsheet) before then.
6. Your content and your guests
- You keep ownership of the names, words and photos you upload. You give us a limited licence to store, display and send them only to provide the service.
- You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload (for example, permission from your photographer) and that you have a lawful reason to add your guests' contact details and send them your invitation.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, explicit or that infringes anyone's rights, and do not use Everwoven to send spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Our designs
Our templates, animations, illustrations, fonts arrangements, code and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only within Everwoven for your own wedding. You may not copy, resell or reuse our templates or code elsewhere.
8. Emails and availability
We send invitation emails through a reputable email provider but cannot guarantee that every email is delivered or not marked as spam by your guests' email providers. We recommend also sharing your link by WhatsApp or QR code. We aim to keep Everwoven available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, guests not receiving or reading invitations, or incorrect details you entered. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the package concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be excluded.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including your guests' information.
11. Changes and ending the agreement
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here and emailed to account holders, and won't reduce what you have already paid for. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
